Plum Slate Chippings 40mm Bulk Bag From £109.25 inc. VAT

Our plum or purple slate chippings are both practical and aesthetically appealing, ideal for use in a variety of different settings from driveways and paths to flowerbeds and borders. They can also be used creatively around the garden, with their bold plum and purple hues contrasting well with plants. A flat, angular product, these chippings make for a comfortable walking surface and can be used on driveways, albeit in high traffic areas the slate will gradually break down when walked or driven on. Decorative plum slate can even be used as a pot topping material as it will prevent weeds from growing and aid moisture retention in soil by reducing evaporation. Safe for fish and other wildlife when thoroughly washed, our slate is pH neutral and can be used as pond substrate or used to decorate around the edges of any water feature. The bold colours are enhanced when wet, becoming deeper and more dramatic.

As this is a natural product colours can vary slightly, and there will be the odd blue or grey chipping mixed in, but it’s this variation in colour that makes the slate unique.

Excellence service. Called to enquire about the delivery date as the website said 3-5 days and the order was delivered the next morning.

The delivery driver was really helpful and gave good advice on the best way to stack the bulk bags and move the chippings into the back garden.
Very happy with the product and price. Bulk bags bigger (1,000kg) than many other companies bulk bags I’d looked (typically 800kg) at but the same price.

Not delivered. Had phonecard to say delivery driver was at my address but couldn’t see where to leave supplies, I said I would go out to move my car so he could offload but received another call before I got out of the door to say driver had left and all that could be done was to refund my payment!!!

Workmen had turned up to do a job without the materials- not happy, would not recommend if fact I will advise family and friends to give this company a wide berth.

At first it seems more grey than anything but this is just dust. Once laid and a few rain showers on it or a good hosing then it’s fine.

love the purple colour, sets off plants perfectly and so far is keeping weeds down.
