Choose the right concrete
Concrete’s constituent parts include sand, cement and water, in different ratios depending on the intended application. Some mixes also require additives or admixture, to reduce drying time or increase robustness, for example.
We offer a full range of common mixes suited to various applications, from garden landscaping projects through to large-scale commercial or civil engineering works. We can also mix concrete on site to the specification that you require, and even supply different mixes from the same vehicle.
GEN 0 (C7/8)
Applications: mass and cavity fill; kerb bedding, haunching and backing; domestic foundations in DC-1 soils; and blinding.
GEN 1 (C10)
Applications: trench fill and pad foundations; unreinforced strip footings; drainage works; and floor blinding.
GEN 2 (C15)
Applications: unreinforced domestic flooring; shed, conservatory and wall foundations; and paving.
GEN 3/ST 1 (C20)
Applications: internal floor slabs; garage, house and extension foundations; under paving for patios; and driveway base.
ST 2 (C25)
